Budapest is always a good idea!

Updated: Jan 9, 2019

We don't know what to say first about this magical city! The capital of Hungary and the "queen" of Dunabe has beautiful architecture, awesome nightlife and of course a lot of food everywhere. A really romantic and unique destination.

We went in Budapest for five days in November. No time is enough for this city. We stayed in Buda and we visited Pest on our first day, where we saw Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, Mattias Church, three beautiful architectural creations and walked in Gellert Hill.

We spend the most of our time in Buda where we stayed and visited the parliament (a really huge building), the impressive St. Stephen's Basilica and all the important sights of the city.

In every corner of the Buda city we tasted different food from Budapest and from other places. We ate the traditional "langos" which is a fried bread with cream and cheece (there was in many flavors) and the traditional hungarian goulash soup with beef, potatoes and carrots which was delicious and perfect for winter!

Of course we ate ice cream from "gelato rosa" which was near the St. Stephen's Basilica. Our favorite place for food was street food"Karavan" because there, we had the chance to taste food from different places of the world like burgers, mexican food, chinese food, hungurian langos and even burgers for vegan people. Everything was perfect and of low cost!
